BEZIERS
Aida, an Ethiopian princess, is held captive in Egypt. Amneris, the king’s daughter, considers her a rival because she is in love with Radames, the army commander. When Radames returns victorious from a campaign against Ethiopia, Aida is convinced that her father, King Amonasro, has died in battle. But, disguised as a simple soldier, he has survived and proposes to his daughter a plot to discover the Egyptians’ military secrets.
