BEZIERS
In 2021, a small Montmartre cabaret-style neighborhood theater is about to be demolished in preparation for a vague real estate development. In the nearly 100 years of its existence, this place has been haunted by memories of good and bad acts, forgotten artists and up-and-coming stars, confirmed actresses and scatterbrained starlets. Far from the stage, now a construction site, and the red velvet armchairs, the action takes place in one of its dressing rooms, a confined place, once refined and now dilapidated, this unique place where the acrobat takes refuge before facing the crowd. Here, the artist’s dressing room becomes the witness to women’s secrets, in turn frightening, funny, pathetic, tragic or mysterious… 6 women’s duets, from 1946 to the present day, prepare for a final number, just for you, for a unique performance.
Directed by Marlène Canal and Christophe Rudelle, based on the original work by Georges Berdot.
