QUARANTE
A fun application to learn more, with 7 treasure hunts for 7 departmental areas.
This summer, families will be able to download the “Hérault Aventure” application for free on smartphones and tablets. This project of the Hérault Departmental Archives aims to make learning about history fun, and to allow the youngest (from 8 years old) to develop their knowledge, by inviting them to discover the cultural and historical heritage of the Hérault. A real sharing of experiences with the older ones.
Seven treasure hunts for seven areas:
La Scène de Bayssan in Béziers; Villeneuvette: the history of this place is inseparable from that of the factory that was installed there. Discover what was made there; the Domaine d’Ô departmental park in Montpellier; the Restinclières departmental estate in Prades-le-Lez; the Bessilles base in Montagnac; the Roueïre estate in Quarante; the Aresquiers wood in Vic-la-Gardiole.
To start an adventure, simply download the “Hérault Aventure” application, available free of charge on Google Play and App Store, and go to one of these seven departmental domains. This interactive and geolocated treasure hunt offers quizzes and anecdotes to discover more than forty emblematic characters of the Hérault. Audio clips complete the experience to make it more immersive.
