CARCASSONNE
Robert Plant, living legend of music, returns to the stage of the Théâtre Jean-Deschamps for a special concert on the occasion of the 20th edition of the Festival de Carcassonne, with his group Saving Grace and a special guest, Suzi Dian.
With his mane of long curly blond hair and his shirtless appearances, Plant helped create the archetype of the “rock god” within the superstar group Led Zeppelin. Surrounded by fine gunslingers from the west, the dashing Robert Plant continues to push boundaries and amaze audiences with Saving Grace since 2019. The lineup includes veterans Tony Kelsey, Matt Worley, as well as percussionist Oli Jefferson and the sensational singer Suzi Dian. This extraordinary group will present to the audience a fascinating mix of traditional and contemporary sounds, songs that reflect Plant’s diverse tastes and influences: from British and American folk to spiritual blues and Americana, creating a complex sonic alchemy in which acoustic guitars, banjo, and mandolin blend harmoniously with percussion.
