In London in 1818, 23-year-old English poet John Keats and his neighbor Fanny Brawne begin a secret affair, despite a rather cold initial contact. John found her elegant but too brazen, while the girl was unimpressed with literature. Touched by the young woman’s efforts to help them while her younger brother is ill, Keats agrees to teach her poetry.
